Whirling dance, ecstatic ritualistic spinning, spinning meditation, shamanic practices, folk dances (“χορεία” in Greek.„ dance in a circle“. Khorovod in Russia, Hora (Khora) in Ukraine, Romania und Moldavia, Horo in Bulgaria, Oro in Makedonia, Kolo in Bosnia, Serbia, Chroatioa, Montenegro)… Dervishes believe that by elaborate whirling one achieves closeness with god.

A hybrid form of performance investigates loop/spinning/circulation from the perspective of movement, sound and visual installation, inviting spectators to witness and experience a poetic and contemplative journey that borders with a drug trip or an exquisite nightmare. Moving bodies, granular synthesis sound technology, fusions of pictures and contradictory universes should create a mutant and saturated composition, forming a vast web of intertwined images whose energy disturbs our habitual codes of interpretation and perception.
